Kids Room

We are making a kids room in half of our crawl space. We have wanted to do it for a while now and we decided that right now would be best since we have some time and money to do it. We have been told that once the kiddies come, both of those things seem to go away. Joe has done an amazing job!! He has worked on this mostly alone. He did have Brennan come and teach him the ropes for framing and then my step dad helped out on the doors. We hired someone to do the mudding and taping.

We forgot to take VERY beginning pictures but Joe had to frame everything but the place that you can see without insulation. Then he wired the room. He added plugs, lights, and cable.

He had to move water pipes, heating vents and lots of wires before he could put up the drywall. He put some ceiling pieces of drywall up by himself before I helped him out a bit. (he could have done it by himself but it made things a little bit easier when he didn't have to hold all of the weight plus put the screws in.

The drywall had to lay flat so we had a mess in our living room for about a week. Luckly we were so occupied with working on the room that we didn't really need our living room for anything.

Joe cutting the drywall. Buddy was always thinking that he could help out in some way or another! On Saturday we did a prime and then we painted the walls. They are yellow. We wanted the room to be fun for kids plus we needed a bright color because there are no windows. I think the yellow looks good! I don't know if you can see it but I had gone upstairs (my body was done with painting!) and Joe took this foam stuff and wrote I love Tiff Lots. He took a picture and sent it to me on my phone. It was pretty cute!! Who knows...maybe we were high on paint fumes!!

This is what we have accompished so far. I will take more when it is done! Just need to paint the ceiling, baseboards and doors and then carpet. Then I want to put vinyl dots on the walls so we will see how it turns out!! I am excited though!! It has turned out to be quite the "kids club" as my neice calls it!

25 years old!!

Wow!! I can't believe that I am 25! I thought when I was younger that when you were 25, you were WAY old....well...either I am way old....or I had a skewed view when I was young. We started the day off with a toliet seat sized donut from my friend, followed by an IPod Touch from my hubby! So fun! We then went to Chilli's with some of my family and co-workers. We then ventured to Boondocks, a movie, the park and finally Texas RoadHouse. It was a GREAT day!!

Nothing says Happy 25th like swinging on swings!! Both Joe and I wondered how we did this when we were little. It made us a little bit sick!! We stilled had a LOT of fun!

We tried to get really high because the swing set was cemented in so we didn't have to worry about the poles popping out of the ground. (simply pleasures!!)
We went to Boondocks and had a BLAST!!! We had a gift card from Christmas from mom and dad Elggren and then if you go on your birthday, you get a free $25 card. So we pretty much acted like we were in Junior High!! We were laughing so hard! We played this arcade game (that was meant for little kids) where you throw balls at moving objects on a screen. Well you had the thought to throw multiple balls at a time! Man we sure did get a lot of tickets and we sure did work up a sweat! HA HA HA!
This is the last hole on the golf course. If you made it in this one slot, fire would shoot out the top. It scared me so bad!! There was a worker that was walking by and I jumped so high! The three of us were laughing pretty hard at my jumping!

Valentines Weekend

For Valentines Weekend, we went down to Mesquite with my family. It was nice and sunny and we were able to be outside for a lot of the trip.

Kind of bad lighting but part of my family went through this narrow rock in St. George

I love this place!! I love the red rock with the white temple. I have a deep love for St. George after going to school at Dixie.

We are just chillin on a rock at Valley of Fire. It was a pretty cool place.

My old dog Jaxon, that my grandparents adopted, had to have surgery and so he had to wear a cone so that he wouldn't bug his stitches. My silly grandpa decided to give Jaxon a break and he took a turn!! HA HA HA!

This is our cute little family. Buddy LOVED the rocks!! He was climbing anything and everything!! Half the time, he had climbed something and we had to get him to come back because we couldn't climb it. Silly dog!

We love going on walks as a family down in Mesquite. This time we ventured to Dollar Tree!! Always a favorite!

When we were down there, there just so happened to be a car show!! What luck!! Joe was in HEAVEN!!! This car was SOOO loud!! It was made from scrap metal.

I thought this was REALLY funny!! It was just a paper that said "fuzzy dice". HA HA HACan't leave out Mater!!
